Do you want to know if you might live to be 100??
My friend over at Frankadelic Frant told me about a survey you can take that gives you a calculated answer to your life expectancy. I went into the survey with the inention to be brutally honest. I really want to know how long I might live. And I was brutally honest (drinking, bad snacks, eating desserts and carbs...all of it.) Believe it or not - my calculated life expectancy is 92.3 years of age!!!!!
After she told me that hers was 91 point something (and she's a healthy girl) I was so sure that mine would be in the 70s, at best. Turns out I'm healthier than I think.
And going into the holiday season I was just starting to plan my healthiness. Try to work out more often, not just tennis, but yoga, walking and weights to build my "core" area. I was also looking at photos from my wedding showers tonight and noticed that I was pretty thin at the time. I don't feel any different, but I sure look different in the face.
So I'm ramped up to stay healthy and see if I can't prove the life calculator wrong. Maybe I can be a centenarian [a.k.a. people that live to be 100]. Who knew that flossing your teeth daily might help to prevent a heart attack down the road??
For your calculated life expectancy and more fun facts about your life and how it affects your health, go take the quiz at http://www.livingto100.com. The site is sponsored by the Alliance for Aging Reserach so there has to be some truth to it.

Who knew that flossing would prevent a heart attack. Ummm...that would be me. First thing they told me when I got diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. Plaque gets under the gums and goes into your blood stream...you get the picture! I am an EXCELLENT flosser now!
